Zambian quickie - Lusaka to Lake Kariba and back!

So this morning at 5am, I could not sleep anymore, so I decided to get on the bike and ride to Lake Kariba.

This is not really a ride report, but just a bunch of pictures of a quick 450km jaunt down to Kariba and back.

So many of these next to the road, the road between Harare and Lusaka is very very dangerous where it winds up the escarpment in Zambia

So many Baobab's in this part of Zambia!

Finally arriving at Lake Kariba

Then took a ride on all the small tracks I could find....

When people moan about potholes in SA, I just smile....

Then took a ride out to Sandy Beach Resort, a very rustic spot, where Africa Time is king, so don't expect anything to be done fast at this place!

But at least the beer is ICE COLD!

It's a tough life in Africa!

Then I took another track back to the main road, such nice riding spots here, jou just leave the main road and there are tracks going everywhere!

Arrived home after a very satisfying 450km!
